Meet the Ambassadors
Micha Boxer - SoCal
Hello Mountain Chicks, I'm Micha! I have loved the outdoors from a very early age and want to instill a love of nature in my 3 children. In my spare time when I'm not hiking, I enjoy crocheting, comics, Nintendo, Disneyland and anything to do with music or theatre. My favorite trails are in Northern AZ and I am super excited to be checking Havasupai off of my list in 2017! My hiking must haves include trekking poles, KT Tape and my doTERRA oils along with the REI Essentials. Hike safe ladies and see you on the trails!I also have a blog that I share all my adventures.
Sam Schwartz - NorCal
Hey there! My name is Sam and I am a Wisconsin native (GO PACK GO!) living in the Sacramento, CA area. You’ll often find me at a beer release or out on the trail with my teeny tiny little furchild, Lucy. I started hiking a little more than a year ago as a way to get out, quite my mind, physically challenge my body and see all that California has to offer. What’s life without a little adventure, right?! See ya on the trails!
Rachelle Howard - SoCal
Hi everyone! I'm Rachelle, born and raised in Burbank, CA. Adventuring outdoors has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, but most recently I fell in love with hiking while exploring Yosemite Valley! I've been hiking and backpacking ever since, from Iceland to Catalina. Besides the outdoors, my favorite things in life are my beautiful niece, my sweet pup Sadie, Friday night pizza nights, road trips, and working on creative art projects. I'm passionate about inviting others to experience the outdoors as well as keeping our trails beautiful and welcoming. I'm so excited to get outside and hit the trails with Mountain Chicks in the SoCal chapter! Let's do this!
Kelly Tode - SoCal
My name is Kelly and I am a Military Wife of 10 years that loves being able to travel and explore the world. I love the adventure; from backpacking & camping, to snorkeling, to cliff diving & zip lining, I am always ready for that next thrilling outdoor experience! I like to think of myself as a modern hippie, with wanderlust in my soul & exploration in my heart. I am always doing my part to live minimally, yet fully. The first step to adventure is by far the greatest & I love sharing my passion with others in hopes to inspire them to get outside!
Courtnee Sinhlapasai - SoCal
I'm Courtnee and I am a PNW native who decided to road trip it down to San Diego after graduating college and never left. Since moving to southern california three years ago, I began exploring the state, only to fall more in love with the outdoors. I spend my weekdays teaching and entertaining my first graders while on the weekends, I try to soak up the sun hiking and exploring new places. I can't wait learn, make some awesome memories and bag some peaks with all you mountain chicks out there!
Chelsea Roach - SoCal
Hello all! My name is Chelsea. I was born on the East Coast but moved to beautiful southern California when I was just 8 years old and have called it home ever since. I am a teacher who spends the majority of her time trying to make a difference in the lives of little ones, but once the weekends and summer time rolls around, I try to venture out as much as possible and bask in all of the beauty that the world has to offer. I was lucky enough to grow up in a family that was constantly on the move, so exploring new places and embarking on new adventures has always been a part of my life. I also love to travel and began traveling abroad at a young age. I am beyond excited to join the Mountain Chicks fam and am looking forward to a future filled with more incredible adventures, meeting awesome people, and making some wonderful memories. Let’s do this, Mountain Chicks!
Chelsea Sedlak - NorCal
My name is Chelsea. I am a runner, Mother Earth lover, and a seeker of all things wild. I sought a lifestyle that would continue to keep me humble and in awe of the vast beauty around me; so when I am not working with special needs children, you can find me with my nose in a book or outside exploring my backyard that is NorCal.
