Meet the Ambassadors
Hello! My name is Kimberly and I am currently a MD/PhD student at Rice University. I fell in love with the outdoors about a year and half ago, since then I have actively become a hiker, trail runner, traveler, mountaineer and outdoor explorer. From the Swiss Alps to the Canadian Rockies to the Andes Mountains I have explored mountains, canyons, deserts, forests and more! I am accompanied by my puppy, Atlas or my cat, Apollo, and actively balance my outdoor exploring with my academics. I am so excited to be a part of the Mtn Chicks community and hike with you!
My socks almost never match and I am a self-professed pizza aficionado. I have a hedgehog named Macchiato and a penchant for really bad dad jokes. I appreciate a little bit of the bougie life when it comes to food and beverage and I wrote my Master’s thesis on coffee (yeah, you can do that). I’m perfectly happy listening to the same song on repeat for hours on end, but I really like trying new recipes when I cook. I love having people in my home around the dinner table and am so excited to learn anything new. I cherish my friendships, love my family and am pretty obsessed with Austin, Texas.
Hello Ladies, I’m Brooke! I was born and raised in Kentucky where I spent my childhood hiking and camping with my family. I even starting mountain biking when I was 6. It was in my undergrad at Western Kentucky University working towards my Biology degree, that I found my passion for outdoor education and sharing the natural wonders of our planet with others. I have worked in outdoor environmental education ever since. I just recently finished my master of science in natural resources at the University of Idaho and landed a job here in Texas shortly after. My fiancé, Tyler; my cat, Tipsy; and my 2 dogs, Ridge and Riley, all love to hike, camp, bike, swim, and basically anything outdoors. Texas is new to me and I cant wait to explore all it has to offer with my fellow Mountain Chicks!
Hey y'all—Jenni Gritti here, coming at ya from the ️ of Texas. I've lived in Austin for the past 10 years and have spent a lot of that time exploring Hill Country trails and swimmin' holes as well as most of my city's urban trails. As much as I love where I live now, my heart truly lies in the desert ️ and one of my favorite places on earth to visit is Big Bend. I definitely try to make my way out there once a year and even held my wedding there (with a fellow ambassador Kelly Towne as my bridesmaid)! I'm really excited to be a Mountain Chicks Ambassador because the only thing I love more than being outdoors is sharing it with other people who cherish just as much. See you on the trails soon, my friends!
