Why hello there. Founder Dani here! Whether you’re going hiking this weekend or starting the 52 Hike Challenge next year, it can be difficult to know what exactly to put in your day pack. As a Mountain Chick myself, I remember the days when I first started hiking and I brought everything under the moon with me on trail. Too many snacks, sunglasses I wouldn’t wear, a change of clothes, a blanket- why? To be honest, I couldn’t really tell you why. I guess a part of me was reliving my childhood years when I would have all the different colored markers and be the one kid that had a mini stapler. Yeah. That was me.
Anyhow, we’ve written blogs like this in the past, but I wanted to make this blog and show you the few things I take with me on a day hike- no strings attached. Below is also a video I made on this topic from my new YouTube channel which will feature some Mountain Chicks group hikes soon! Stay tuned for that. If you like the video, make sure you click the like button and subscribe so I know what sorts of videos and content to create in the future. Let’s get into it. I was literally just talking with my boyfriend this morning on how I want to do a big road trip this summer where all we do is hike and bike! So this is GREAT!!! And I definitely will be referring back to it when we start getting together our gear. :) Thanks blogger friends!
