Meet the Ambassadors
My name is Kelli Kreager and I’ve lived in Atlanta, GA for most of my life. I’m a former youth rock climbing instructor and currently work from home as an Account Manager for a recruiting company. When I’m not working, you’ll find me exploring new trails, enjoying a weekend road trip, or backpacking sections of the Appalachian Trail with my furry partner in crime, Odin. My ultimate hiking goal is to thru-hike the entire App Trail and I hope to do so within the next few years. I’m excited to help other women explore the outdoors and find their inner Mountain Chick!
Hey Y'all! I'm Avery Hayden; a photographer, GoPro-er and queso connoisseur. My first overnight hiking trip was three years ago in North Georgia and I instantly fell in love. Climbing physical mountains helped me overcome my personal and emotional mountains dealing with PTSD, depression and anxiety. Hiking became a way for me to foster mindfulness as well as challenge and instill pride in myself. When I lost my job six months ago, I wasn't sure where to turn, so I turned to what made me happiest- hiking. A week later I found myself over 1,000 miles away from my home in Atlanta starting the trek on The Long Trail in Vermont to Canada. Two weeks and 168-miles later, my heart was calling me home to be with my Grandmother before she unfortunately passed a week later. 70-miles in the Wind River Range in Wyoming and a few section-hikes on the Appalachian Trail later, my latest hiking goal is to hike 11 of Georgia's 4,000 footers and to plan fun and obtainable hikes in Georgia to help encourage and empower other women!
