Meet the Ambassadors
Hey Mtn Chicks! I'm so excited to be chosen to represent such a fun and inclusive brand. I was born and raised in Southern Illinois, but after graduating high school in 2005 I joined the Air Force. My active duty time took me to such places like Japan, Qatar, Idaho, and Arizona. I lived in Arizona from 2010-2017, and just recently moved back to Idaho with my husband so that we could settle our roots permanently. We are both Air Force veterans, and I have been serving in the Air National Guard since 2013. We have one (rescue) terrier mix named Crosby, and he's pretty darn great. Some of my most memorable hikes to date are hiking Mt. Fuji in Japan, my hikes at Zion National Park, and Bryce Canyon National Park. I cannot wait to represent the Idaho chapter of Mtn Chicks and look forward to meeting some badass Mtn Chicks!
My name is Brittany Cross, my family and I just recently moved to North Idaho which, so far, feels like a perfect fit. I’m always looking for new places to explore, ways to challenge myself and any opportunity to learn something new. I found when I started spending more time outdoors then indoors my personal growth felt limitless. It has helped make me a stronger mother, greater friend and a better listener. I’m excited for the new adventures and memories to be made with fellow Mtn Chicks!
I recently left my life in Florida and moved across the country to Idaho...talk about a change! I studied sharks and worked as a Park Ranger in college and now I am an Environmental Educator at Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge, so a great deal of my time is spent outdoors whether I'm at work, taking a hike, or hopping over to a hot spring! While I certainly enjoy exploring this beautiful state, my favorite adventure to date has been backpacking in Central Alaska.....specifically along the Stampede Trail in attempts to make it to the Magic Bus (I'm determined to make it all the way next time!). It's on my to-do list to hike all of the National Parks in the United States, but I'll take any opportunity for a new adventure regardless of where it is! I'm stoked to meet my fellow Mountain Chicks (and Mountain Dudes) and make some new outdoorsy friends! Let's take a hike!
Born and raised in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, I have a deep rooted love for the mountains and an internal compass that always draws me toward them. However, it wasn't until living in the Tetons that I truly understood what mountains mean to me. I now find myself residing in the foothills of Boise where the peaks aren't as big, but the fun still abounds. I'm a seeker of adventure (and smiles per hour) whether that be by way of two wheels, two planks, or my own two feet and I'm beyond thrilled to help spread that stoke to my fellow Mountain Chicks and Shred Sisters. Can't wait to see you out there!
