Meet the Ambassadors
Hello! My name is Jennifer Mabus and I LOVE all things travel, adventure, and outdoors! From growing up next to Lake Tahoe, living in Hawaii, and now currently residing in the beautiful PNW, I think it’s safe to say I’m in a committed relationship with all mountains (no bias here). The mountains teach me over and over again how capable I really am and makes me grateful for this strong body I have, scars and all! You can find me in Seattle, so come adventure with me!
Hello! My name is Summer and I am currently taking a gap year in WA between undergrad and pursuing a Ph.D. in Geology. While I was in school I was very much so a weekend adventurer. Although I had hiked before, it wasn’t until after studying abroad in New Zealand and hiking around the South Island that I really fell in love with the wilderness. Ever since that trip, combined with my studies in Geology, I have an enormous appreciation and love for the wild, natural world. I now have to make time to hike, like exercising or sleeping, in order for me to feel balanced in my life. I am excited to get back into climbing and to walk, hike, and kayak over as much of the PNW as I possibly can. I am so happy to be a part of this optimistic, inclusive, and adventurous group and I cannot wait to hit the trails with some badass mountain chicks and dudes!
Hey Mtn Chicks, My name is Lizzy and I am originally from the Chicago suburbs. I spent the winters in Wyoming and learned to ski, explore, and appreciate nature in the Grand Tetons. My experiences in the Tetons inspired me to get closer to nature and led me to spend my college years in the upper peninsula of Michigan (Go ‘Cats!). Fast forward to today and I am currently living in the beautiful PNW (Olympia, WA area) with my husband and Mtn pup, Kona. Nature has an amazing way of challenging, healing and uniting us and I am stoked to be apart of the Mtn Chicks movement.
My name is Jessy and I live in Spokane, Washington. In my spare time I enjoy climbing, hiking, snowshoeing, playing with my dog, and spending time with friends and family. I also like to write, and can be found crafting a poem or two when I’m not working or having fun outside. I believe that life is supposed to be fun, and I try to make the best out of every day.
Hi my name is Janean! I am one of the new Ambassadors for Mountain Chicks PNW️ I grew up in the small town of Rainier, OR next to the Columbia River. Being a member of Mountain Chicks has given me a group of women to adventure with that love the outdoors as much as I do. I’m excited to start planning hikes and retreats for us all to enjoy! There’s so many wonderful places in our beautiful Pacific Northwest and I can’t wait to share many adventures with you!
Growing up right up against the Cascades in Granite Falls, I was in the right place for outdoor adventure but that enthusiasm didn’t hit me until the outdoors and mountains brought me strength during a particularly trying time. After discovering my appreciation for outdoor adventure, I was still lacking the friends to adventure with me… until a friend recommended Mountain Chicks. Now that I’ve developed an obsession for going further and higher, I plan to summit Mount Rainier this year along with many other hikes. Challenging myself outdoors has enlightened and invigorated me, and I hope to introduce that same positivity to other women and mothers.
Hi all my name is Chelsea and I was born and raised in the greater Seattle area, and went to college in Bellingham. Over the past few years my passion for the outdoors have been invigorated. You'll typically find me exploring the beautiful PNW with my mtn dude and our mtn pup. I'm also a huge board game nerd, so ask me for recommendations or to plan a game night. I am overjoyed to be a part of this amazing inclusive community, and cannot wait to hit the trails with you.
Ladies and gentlemen I come to you from Spokane, Washington. I grew up fishing, camping, and nature walking with my grandparents here in the Inland North West. That river water never stopped running deep in my veins as I grew. It was in my early 20s that I was reacquainted with the outdoors in a different way. The stressors from nursing school and a difficult relationship had me escaping outdoors for peace of mind. As the years have passed my desire and connections with our wilderness has only grown stronger. I work as nurse and am fortunate have a schedule that allows me to be out on adventures every week. So, whether it's hiking, kayaking, running, backpacking, fishing, snowshoeing, biking, snowboarding, or some day climbing, I'll be there with you Mtn Chicks! Our mountains are beautiful out this way, and I am ecstatic to help get more Inland North West outdoor enthusiasts out exploring our lands this year.

It definitely makes me appreciate my life, and how blessed I am. If I am not working, I am outside. I am an adventurer at heart. I love any outdoor activities...hiking, skiing, mountain biking, snowshoeing, running, and kayaking! Living an adventurous life is one that is filled with so much joy and happiness. I am the type of person who loves to push myself- Whether I am summiting a mountain, speeding down a trail on my bike, skiing down a mountain, or pushing myself in a race- I don't let fear get in the way. I love setting goals for myself and crushing them!! I am super excited to be a part of the MTN Chicks ambassador program for the PNW, and look forward to meeting some rad chicks!
